Marcia's Story

Having surgery is not for everyone but it was the best decision for me. Before the breast augmentation I was happy with whom I was on the inside but like most women not happy with the exterior. When you're not happy with something your mind tends to obsess with that problem. You'll find yourself always thinking about it hence I decided on surgery. My problem with my small breasts started in school. Obviously I was still young and had time to grow, but when they didn't grow I knew my choice of surgery was the right one. I can truthfully say my choice wasn't one of vanity, more about getting the right proportion for my body.

Since having the operation my life has changed. It's hard to explain though. I'm still me but I now have much more confidence. I feel happy with how my body looks in and out clothes. I wear tops that I'd never dream of wearing before and even have the confidence to go topless on the beach when I am on holiday! It's funny how without breasts you don't feel feminine but when you do have them how much of a woman you start to feel. Surgery gave me the chance to focus on me and what in the future, rather than what I didn't want to be or look like.
